Working with Masks

I’m a stickler for detail and preparation. It is essential in making an on-location shoot go as smoothly as possible. But if I’ve learned anything over the years, even the best planning doesn’t prevent an unforeseen hiccup now and then.
Cue the Background
I was on a shoot filming an interview in a hallway. I made sure the filming location was quiet and free of foot traffic… no distractions! As if on cue, some folks walked into view in the background during a key moment of our interview. Fortunately, there is an editing trick that I was able to use in fixing the issue. It’s called a Mask.
